🛠️ Home Maintenance Checklist for November
Gobble Gobble! November is a great month to maintain your home and avoid being a turkey! As a Smart Homeowner, you know keeping up with home maintenance can sometimes feel like a chore. The good news is that tackling a few small tasks now prevents big headaches (and expensive repairs) later.

November Maintenance Mission: Water Shutoff
This month's focus is winterizing all water lines, safety systems, and preventing frozen pipes.
Your tasks for the next 30 days are:
Shut Off the Taps: Shut off the main valve to exterior water faucets and drain the lines and hoses. This prevents frozen pipes!
Sump Pump Test: If you have a sump pump, pour a bucket of water into your sump pump pit to ensure the pump turns on and drains the water effectively.
Vent Check: Make sure all attic and crawl space vents are clear of leaves and debris, allowing for good air circulation throughout the winter.
Window Wells: Clear any leaves or debris out of your window wells. You want light and a clear path for drainage, not a collection of gunk right against your foundation.
Furnace Filter: Invite your furnace filter to your Thanksgiving feast. While its napping, swap it out for a new one.
That’s all for this month! Knock these items out, and you can relax knowing your home is performing perfectly.
Happy home-owning!
